Interested in Joining the Board of Directors? If you are browsing these pages you are likely committed to high quality management of the environmental resources that make up the Mianus River Watershed. You might think there isn't much I can tell you that you don't already know about being an environmental steward. Well, perhaps......you might want to know that the volunteers of the MRWC Board do need your help.
Each of our board members has expertise in their specialty (wildlife management, open space, fisheries management, trout management, water quality, hiking and trail management, wetlands), but we need additional board members to motivate citizens to join us with their unique talents to help us with our mission and improve our knowledge of the watershed, water quality, increase membership, income (donations and grants) and advocate for improved utilization of the natural resources within the Mianus River Watershed.
Anyway, my point is, give us a call or an email if you have some time, talent or expertise that you think might be valuable for our mission. You will be surprised how much fun it will be. Keep in mind that you don't have to make a lifetime committment. Tell us up front that you only want to spend a year helping out to make a specific contribution. We would appreciate that.
